Nearly a Month

It has been nearly a month since my last post. Wow! I have been tatting quite a bit. I have conquered split rings and split chains with shuttle tatting. There will be pictures to come in the next day or two.

We're heading down to Hilton Head this weekend. And I'm sort of looking forward to it. It's a six hour drive and I have 3 younger siblings... But I have an amazing camera that hasn't been put through it's paces recently. I'll probably spend the time tatting. We get back on Sunday then Monday I have a 6 hour day of classes. I am SO excited about classes starting. Then I miss Friday's classes because my mom and I are leaving Thursday evening to go down to Tat Days!

The next two weeks are going to be crazy, nice change from a rather dull summer. You know what isn't dull? Felting needles. I made 2 felt flowers yesterday.. OUCH. I'm not the most careful of people and currently I am having issues pulling my rings shut because of how sensitive and sore my thumb is. I probably pricked myself at least 50 times.

I'm glad to say that I tried needle felting, but like lampwork glassblowing, I don't know if I'll ever do it again.
